All About Barefoot Orchids

Here at Barefoot Orchids we have two goals.

One, to find, grow, and sell you the best quality orchids we can. Two, to help you become a better grower year after year with our educational Blogs, Social media channels, and answering all your questions.

I was always a garden and nature loving child. My great grandmother loved her orchids and passed on her passion first to my mother and then to me. I first was bitten by the orchid bug in my twenties. Since then it's been a roller coaster love affair with ups and downs. 

Over the last twenty years I've met and learned from some of the best growers in the industry and still look for new science, technology, and technique to improve my success rate, plants health, and flower quality.

We're based in sunny South Florida, an orchid paradise, and I'm a 5th generation FL native. Our name pays homage to my great great Grandfather who moonlighted as one of Florida's first Mailmen, walking mail on the beach from West Palm to Miami, called the Barefoot Mailmen. He was also the Chief of Police in a small town called Lantana.
