Aerides oodoorata is a majestic, highly prized species native to the Philippines, widely considered the undisputed queen of the genus Aerides. Renowned among collectors for its towering, architectural growth habit and dramatic, cascading flower displays, this species brings unmatched tropical elegance and intoxicating fragrance to any collection.

When in bloom, the plant produces long, arching to pendulous inflorescences densely packed with waxy, long-lasting flowers. The thick, crystalline blooms open in a brilliant ivory-white to pale cream, dramatically tipped with rich amethyst-purple accents on the sepals and petals. Framing the bloom is an expansive, funnel-shaped lip adorned with a vivid magenta-violet spur. During warm, sunny mornings, the flowers release a powerful, sweet, lemon-and-spice perfume that easily fills an entire room or greenhouse!
