Brassidium Gilded Urchin 'Ontario' (Variegated) is an extraordinary, highly coveted novelty hybrid that offers year-round visual appeal even when not in bloom. Combining the dramatic, spider-like floral structure of Brassia with the free-flowering floriferousness of Oncidium, this particular cultivar is elevated to holy-grail collector status by its striking, stable foliage variegation.

The long, strap-like leaves and pseudobulbs feature bold, creamy-yellow to bright ivory margin stripes contrasting against deep forest-green foliage. When in bloom, the plant pushes tall, branching sprays of elongated, starry flowers. The waxy blossoms feature spidery, golden-yellow to chartreuse sepals and petals heavily barred with chocolate-brown patterning, anchored by a broad, pale yellow lip spotted in rich chestnut brown.
