Cycnoches lehmannii × Cycnoches Brown's Choice 'Spotted Swan' is a spectacular, connoisseur-level Catasetinae hybrid that beautifully captures the sweeping, exotic grace of the classic "Swan Orchid." Because this is a seedling population, each plant offers an exciting genetic variation, promising a population of vigorous growers with exceptional flower substance and mesmerizing patterns.

This cross brings together two highly distinct and influential Cycnoches breeding lines:

• The Pod Parent (Cycnoches lehmannii): A magnificent and rare Ecuadorian species celebrated for its uniquely shaped, broad, and heavily fleshy blooms. It typically displays a solid, clean palette of bright apple-green to chartreuse-gold and passes down its highly structural, bird-in-flight architecture.

• The Pollen Parent (Cyc. Brown's Choice 'Spotted Swan'): A standout hybrid (Cyc. warscewiczii × Cyc. cooperi) famous for its heavy, waxy texture and an abundance of rich, dark mahogany-red spotting across a warm bronze backdrop. It injects a high bud count, excellent flat form, and striking visual contrast into the mix.

Culture Preferences: Thrives in intermediate to warm conditions with bright, filtered light and heavy watering and fertilizer only while actively growing in the spring and summer. As the plants finish blooming in late winter and shed their leaves, they require a dry dormancy period until the new spring growth emerges and establishes a strong root system.
