Encyclia rufa x sib | Large Seedlings | 4" pots

Encyclia rufa is a charismatic, warm-growing species endemic to the Bahamas and Cuba, highly prized for its exceptionally fragrant, long-lasting flowers and showy, multi-branched sprays. Renowned for its resilient nature and charming earth-toned coloration, this Caribbean native brings an exotic, sunny elegance to any species collection.

The waxy, star-like flowers feature pointed sepals and petals in shades ranging from greenish-yellow and honey-amber to warm reddish-brown. Providing a striking center contrast is a neatly lobed, bright yellow-to-cream lip decorated with fine, radiating magenta or purple veins. On warm, sunny mornings, the long-lasting blossoms release an intense, intoxicating fragrance reminiscent of sweet honey and fresh citrus.
