Phalaenopsis japonica (formerly known as Sedirea japonica) is a legendary miniature species from Japan and Korea, often called the "Nagoran" or Orchid of Nago. This charming epiphyte is a sensory delight, producing arching spikes of creamy, light-green to white flowers decorated with bold, reddish-purple horizontal bars on the lateral sepals. What truly sets this species apart is its powerful citrus fragrance—often compared to fresh lemons—that can fill a growing area during its spring and summer bloom cycle. Its compact, strap-shaped leaves and manageable size make it an ideal candidate for mounting on cork or growing in small pots, offering a touch of wild, botanical sophistication to any collection.

Grow these in less light than a Catt or Vanda. Water well with a slight dry in between.
