Phcal. Kryptonite 'Parkside' AM/AOS | 4" pot | In Spike

Phaiocalanthe (Phcal.) Kryptonite 'Parkside' AM/AOS is a renowned, award-winning intergeneric hybrid (Phaius tankervilleae × Calanthe Rozel) celebrated for its towering flower spikes, velvety crimson-ruby coloration, and rich floral impact. Recognized by the American Orchid Society, this spectacular terrestrial-style orchid brings a bold, regal presence and dramatic height to any collection.

The large, waxy-textured flowers feature broad, pointed sepals and petals in a deep, glowing shade of dark wine-red to fiery maroon. Serving as a striking centerpiece, the expansive, ruffled lip opens in a velvety, deep crimson-purple highlighted by a contrasting white-and-yellow throat with subtle interior veining. On bright, warm mornings, the long-lasting blossoms release a light, pleasant floral fragrance.

It is common and normal for foliage to yellow and drop on mature growths. These leaves can be removed from the plant just above the pseudobulb. This stress and leaf drop often appears from shipping and acclimating to a new environment.
